John, as the nation is reeling from the tragic shooting in a
Colorado Springs LGBTQ nightclub, Herschel Walker has released a campaign
ad targeting transgender athletes.

LGBTQ rights groups called on Senate candidate Herschel Walker to stop
running a campaign ad in Georgia’s Senate runoff that refers to
transgender women and girls as “biological males” and calls for them to be
banned from competing in sports.

The release of Walker’s ad comes just two days after a deadly shooting at
an LGBTQ nightclub in Colorado Springs that killed people  and injured at
least 25 others.

According to Brooke Migdon at THE HILL

In Walker's ad, he appears alongside former University of Kentucky swimmer
Riley Gaines,  an outspoken advocate for policies and legislation to keep
transgender women and girls out of female sports. At this year’s NCAA
championships, Gaines tied with former University of Pennsylvania swimmer
Lia Thomas for fifth place in the women’s 200-meter freestyle finals.

Gaines said “I worked so hard — 4 a.m. practices to be the best — but my
senior year I was forced to compete against a biological male." Gaines
came in 2nd in that competition. “That’s unfair and wrong,” Walker then
says directly to the camera.

Sarah Kate Ellis, the president and chief executive of the LGBTQ media
advocacy organization GLAAD, said Monday: "Airing this kind of rubbish
under the guise of a political campaign was already deplorable enough—but
in the wake of Saturday night’s massacre at Club Q, it’s simply
unconscionable."

“There’s an undeniable nexus between this kind of baseless and hateful
rhetoric and the violence leveled against our community this weekend in
Colorado Springs and the violence being perpetrated against marginalized
communities all across this country, Shame on Herschel Walker — and shame
on every politician using LGBTQ lives as political props.” Nadine Bridges,
executive director of the nonprofit One Colorado, said Monday in a
statement.

Walker either has horrible timing or he's just a horrible person. What is
the purpose of airing this anti-LGBTQ ad now? Is it to appeal to the
Republican base that are supporting him? Georgia and the nation doesn't
need a lecture from Herschel Walker. Walker has shown everyone who he
really is and his hateful rhetoric has no place in our society. Let's send
him packing! [ [link removed] ]Chip in now to defeat Herschel Walker, win in Georgia and
secure the expanded Senate majority we have worked so hard to achieve!

John, tell me what you think about this story? Sticking
together is how we will defeat this MAGA hatred.
