Since my daughter Gina Montalto was gunned down in the 2018 Parkland, FL massacre, putting an end to mass shootings and keeping schools safe has become my life’s work. In the past 4 years since we founded Stand with Parkland, myself and everyone else here at Stand with Parkland have fought tirelessly to ensure that no other family has to endure what we’ve been through.
And with your support, we have been able to work with leaders on both sides of the aisle to bridge political divides and pass crucial legislation such as this year’s Bipartisan Safer Communities Act designed to keep schools safe, with policies such as:
- Enhanced background checks
- Grants for states and red flag laws
- Stronger campus security measures
- Improved mental health resources for students
- The National 988 Suicide Prevention Hotline
- and more!
