Supporting School Choice

The COVID-19 pandemic gave parents the opportunity to see how public schools are indoctrinating their children with critical race theory, pornographic content, and other “woke” ideologies. Millions of children across the country are now falling short in essential subject areas like math, science, and reading because of school shut downs during the pandemic. Parents are understandably upset and many have chosen to remove their children from public education altogether. Unfortunately, millions of families cannot afford the costs associated with public school alternatives. 

That's why I co-sponsored the Educational Choice for Children Act, which would expand education freedom and opportunity for millions of students. This legislation provides a credit against tax for charitable donations to nonprofit organizations providing education scholarships to qualified elementary and secondary students. We must give families every opportunity to pursue the education that is best for their children.

Passports are valid for 10 years if issued at age 16 or older and five years if issued when you were under 16. Many foreign countries also require that your passport be valid for another six months in order to be admitted. Those impacted by Hurricane Ian may now apply for federal assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Small Business Administration (SBA).
