As we come back together for in-person holidays after years of isolation, First Star hopes to highlight the power of community and connectedness in creating change. The First Star program model centers academics as a pathway into achievement, and achievement is impossible without the uplift and support of community.
That is why community, belonging and long-term relationships are central to First Star programs. We hope to be a family our scholars rely on while in the program, and after they graduate.
This holiday season, First Star hopes to raise $25,000 to support our programs and our alumni with critical necessities like food and rent as they transition into adulthood.
