With Thanksgiving just a few days away, we wanted to take a moment to express our gratitude for every one of the 45,000+ volunteer lawyers in this incredible community.
Rather than sending our usual weekly project digest, we wanted to highlight a new project from Rise Up, Inc, who has been a We The Action partner since 2019. Since then, lawyers like you have supported their work to urge legislatures and governors to defend survivors of sexual assault. In all, We The Action volunteers have contributed to four new laws bringing civil rights to nearly 3 million survivors.
From all of us at We The Action: Happy Thanksgiving. We're grateful every day to work with lawyers like you.

Help Pass New Laws Expanding the Rights of Vulnerable Communities ([link removed])
Rise Up, Inc.
Support volunteers as they work to pass laws pertaining to the rights of immigrant communities, sexual assault survivors, and/or victims of online child abuse. Tasks may include legal research, reviewing and editing draft legislation, giving feedback on memos to legislative and governors' offices, and more. This is a remote opportunity, and lawyers in any state are welcome to volunteer.
