Dear John,
Justice-centered courts are vital to protecting our democracy and the Senate must take action. A critical step in re-balancing the federal judiciary is for the Senate to confirm equal justice champions right now, making room for it to act on many more judicial nominations between now and 2025. Sign our petition: Urge the Senate to confirm equal justice judges. [[link removed]]
This November, the Senate must strengthen our federal courts. Here’s what Senators need to do:
*First, the Senate must confirm at least ten nominees awaiting confirmation votes by the end of November. There are dozens of nominees awaiting confirmation that have the backgrounds our democracy needs represented on the bench immediately. They are all long overdue for a final vote. Some of the most pivotal nominees include:
- Dale Ho
- Natasha Merle
- Nancy Abudu
- Tiffany M. Cartwright
- Rachel Bloomekatz
- Bradley Garcia
- Julie Rikelman
- Jamal Whitehead
- Araceli Martinez-Olguin
- Justice Adrienne Nelson
*Second, every nominee voted out of committee this year must get a confirmation vote in our push to fill every seat by the end of the 117th Congress.
Join us in calling on the Senate to take immediate action to strengthen our federal courts. There are over 100 judicial vacancies, and the Senate must move swiftly to fill every seat with judges committed to equal justice.
Thank you for taking action,
Keith Thirion
