When Disney CEO Bob Chapek sent a memo to senior leaders Friday explaining that the company was "going to have to make tough and uncomfortable decisions," he had no idea just how uncomfortable they were about to become. Less than two days later, the ax fell in his own office, ending one of the most tumultuous chapters in Disney history. Chapek, who'd been a polarizing figure from the get-go, was out - and no one was more surprised than him.

In a feel-good story of local generosity, Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit, Feed the Fridge, is doing its part to provide Thanksgiving meals for seniors and military families in need. The charity, founded by the co-owner of Medium Rare restaurant, Mark Bucher, started the initiative during the pandemic to feed the hungry and keep small, local restaurants in business. Now, Bucher taking that same goodwill and changing families' holiday for the better.
