With Obergefell, the Supreme Court made gay marriage the law of the land and mandated that government institutions and processes could make no legal distinctions between adult romantic relationships. Two married men cannot be treated any differently than a married man and woman. Indeed, from the perspective of adult emotional fulfillment, there may be no distinction. But from the child's perspective, these two couplings are polar opposites. |

D.C. Restaurant Owner's Nonprofit Feeds Seniors and Military Families This Thanksgiving |

In a feel-good story of local generosity, Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit, Feed the Fridge, is doing its part to provide Thanksgiving meals for seniors and military families in need. The charity, founded by the co-owner of Medium Rare restaurant, Mark Bucher, started the initiative during the pandemic to feed the hungry and keep small, local restaurants in business. Now, Bucher taking that same goodwill and changing families' holiday for the better. |
