This is the ?starting point? draft of the 2022 report I promised at last week?s Kansas Employment First Oversight Commission (KEFOC) meeting.? When the KEFOC talked last week, I said I would try to develop a draft report regarding our recommendations on the RFP.?

What I did is I took discussions we had at our last two meetings, the issues we discussed at prior meetings, and what KDADS said last week that they wanted to accomplish with the Employment First RFP. ??I cross-referenced all of those points with our recommendations in our 2021 Report.? The result is the attached draft Report.? If you recall, our 2021 report made several recommendations regarding the $2 million Employment First project at KDADS (which has turned out to be the RFP).

By doing the draft report in this manner, we are memorializing our feedback and recommendations about the RFP by taking the issues we have discussed previously and the things KDADS already said they want to accomplish in the RFP.? We then tie all of those things back to the recommendations we made in last year?s 2021 Report.? ?I think this format has given us a robust starting point for our 2022 Report.? Hopefully, this will allow us to make edits and finalize this report quickly, as KDADS has indicated that they want to finalize the RFP and get it in the field soon.?
