We started investigating Amazon in 2019. I’d heard that the company’s injury rates were sky high, even as Amazon claimed to be safe, so I wanted to see if there was evidence to prove it. It was hard to get, but we eventually burst through Amazon’s secrecy. After showing the true toll of Amazon’s relentless drive for speed, and how the company hid its safety crisis, we knew there was more to expose. We went on to show how Amazon failed to protect sensitive data and drastically undercounted its carbon footprint.
