As you celebrate this week, I hope it does your heart good to remember what an incredible difference you make. Thanks to you, Trust for Public Land has made transformational progress to create more places that bring us outside—parks, trails, playgrounds—and make them available to everyone, everywhere.
Because of your support in 2022 we’re well on our way to protecting rare places like Deer Creek Beach, over 2 miles of pristine California coastline and 1,250 acres of undeveloped mountainside just north of Malibu. This public space will serve the nearly 6 million people who live within an hour’s drive to the property. And as a future stretch of the proposed Coastal Slope Trail, backpackers will be able to hike more than 30 miles of California coastline with uninterrupted, breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.
