Hi John, my name is Heather.
In a moment, I’m going to tell you more about myself and an important new film Greenpeace UK made in partnership with the New Economics Foundation.
But first, the ‘Cost of Living’ film is launching online as you’re reading this, and it’s critical that its message reaches Rishi Sunak and his government. Will you join me in watching the new film, then share the video on Twitter?

As an organiser in Yorkshire and North Derbyshire with the New Economics Foundation, I go to work every day with the goal of helping communities build power to fight for lower energy bills and better insulated, more energy efficient homes.
John, right now families are literally choosing between whether to heat their homes or feed and clothe their kids. It’s an impossible situation to put people in.
It’s no secret that both the cost of living and climate crises can be solved by investing in renewable energy, properly insulating homes and providing people with the skills and training needed to deliver a green energy revolution.
In the new film 'Cost of Living', you’ll see some of the resilient women I get to work with who are calling on this government to put people before profit and provide immediate assistance to those struggling with bills. Will you watch the new film and share it with a friend?

Councils simply don’t have enough money to insulate homes at the scale or speed that they need to in order to fight the cost of living and climate crises—we need Rishi Sunak and his government to step in and help keep people warm this winter and every winter that follows.
