Democrats having a 51st vote in the Senate will be crucial for protecting
Social Security and Medicaid from Republican cuts, confirming President
Biden's judicial nominations, and more. It's also strategically important
"ahead of a highly challenging Senate map in 2024," according to the
Times.

Mitch McConnell, Trump, and the Republican establishment have already
spent tens of millions of dollars to defeat Raphael Warnock -- and
national Republicans just teamed up with Herschel Walker's campaign to
raise more from their billionaire donors in this next critical phase of
the runoff.
