It is time to declare energy independence and support a stable supply of energy.
Hi Friend,
Modern life requires access to a stable supply of energy. As humanity has refined the process of capturing energy from fossil fuels, life has flourished. Modern societies built on robust energy systems have raised the standard of living pulling millions out of poverty and resulting in longer, healthier lives.

The future will demand more energy.

According to the International Energy Administration, global energy demand will steadily increase through 2030. One of the biggest challenges to future energy needs is the ongoing war against fossil fuels that is limiting the development and growth of energy sources we need the most. In the U.S. we get the majority of our energy from traditional sources of which we’ve been abundantly blessed: coal, oil, and natural gas.
DECLARE ENERGY INDEPENDENCE ([link removed])
There is an important role for renewable energy, but from a technical perspective, it is not equipped to fulfill current energy needs, much less future growth. Despite this reality, those pushing an extreme environmental agenda have forged ahead with an unrealistic renewable energy “transition.” Areas like California that have been on the forefront of this forced energy transition have been struggling with rolling brownouts, blackouts and exorbitant electricity costs.

Increased costs have serious consequences both here and abroad.

According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), 75 million people who recently gained access to electricity are likely to lose the ability to pay for it. The IEA also projected as many as 100 million people may revert to using traditional biomass for cooking in the face of rising energy costs. In the U.S., one in six American families are behind on utility payments.

Some will argue that these energy disruptions, financial pain, and economic oppression today are necessary to save the environment, but this is not true. Many studies have found that flourishing economies lead to better environmental outcomes.
DECLARE ENERGY INDEPENDENCE ([link removed])
This proved tried in the recent past when the U.S. experienced massive economic growth, became a net energy exporter, and maintained record breaking environmental progress, including the cleanest air on record. We all recall what it was like to pay around $2 for a gallon of gas, which made family planning and road trips for holidays much easier and far less expensive.

There is a reasoned, balanced approach to energy development that can address the problems of today and set us up for energy success in the future.

This holiday season, demand that the White House cease their war on U.S. energy and restore America’s innovative and environmentally-responsible energy sector. Sign the petition to make your voice heard. ([link removed])

Best,
Mandy Gunasekara
