But at Dream.Org, we know that we don’t have to wait for the next election to make a difference. In just this past month, we have mobilized to help free an innocent man from prison, uplifted people of color in the green economy, and launched a new scholarship for other underrepresented people to earn the skills they need to do the same. Moreover, one of the bullets fractured C.J.’s hip, making walking excruciatingly difficult. Yet shortly after C.J was charged and later convicted of an attempted murder that his doctor says he could not have committed. Because of an inept lawyer, C.J. is facing life in prison.
