On Friday, Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed a special counsel to run investigations by the Department of Justice into Donald Trump’s role in the January 6 insurrection and the former president’s hoarding of government documents at his compound in Florida.

The special counsel is a veteran war crimes prosecutor named Jack Smith.

Both Garland and Smith indicated that the appointment of a special counsel would not slow down the DOJ’s investigations into Trump’s illegal activities.

Let’s hold them to that.

Click now to tell Attorney General Merrick Garland and newly appointed Special Counsel Jack Smith: The American people have been waiting almost two years for Donald Trump to be held accountable for any crimes he committed as part of his effort to illegally remain in power despite losing the 2020 election. The Department of Justice must act aggressively to prosecute Donald Trump as swiftly as possible. No one is above the law.

Thanks for taking action.
