Dear Friend of CURE Epilepsy,
Next Tuesday is Giving Tuesday ([link removed]) – a global day of giving, and a very important day for CURE Epilepsy. We rely on the outpouring of generosity on Giving Tuesday to raise critical funds for epilepsy research, and this year we have a very big goal: $100,000 or the equivalent of a Taking Flight grant. Taking Flight grants help young researchers launch their careers – leading us one step closer to a cure for epilepsy.

Here is how you can help us get ready to help us meet this $100,000 goal in pursuit of a cure:
1. Make your Giving Tuesday donation ([link removed]) early now
2. Follow us on Facebook ([link removed]) and Instagram ([link removed])
3. Set up your Facebook fundraiser ([link removed]) . If you need help, here is a how-to video ([link removed])
4. Mark your calendar for 7 am next Tuesday, November 29, 2022, to share your fundraising page with all of the generous friends, family, and colleagues in your life

Impact of Taking Flight Grants

Dr. Jonathan Viventi of Duke University credits the CURE Epilepsy Taking Flight grant he received in 2012 with launching his lab which develops advanced monitoring devices for epilepsy. Building on that success, he, along with collaborators, just secured an $8 million NIH grant designated for innovative development and clinical research. This is promising, exciting, and we can’t stop now. Let’s fund one more Taking Flight grant together to help launch another epilepsy researcher.

If you have questions, or would like help setting up your page, please don’t hesitate to call our helpful staff at 312-255-1801 or email [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]) . Thank you in advance for your support.

With gratitude,
The CURE Epilepsy team
