As someone who cares deeply about improving people’s lives and protecting our environment through population stabilization, I thought you should know about the great work of our Global Partner, Turimiquire Foundation.
Turimiquire Foundation (which means “Seat of the Gods” in Indigenous Carib) improves the lives of rural people in northeastern Venezuela, primarily by focusing on reproductive health and family planning, public education, rural livelihoods, poverty reduction, and environmental conservation.
Like many of our Global Partners, Turimiquire makes the “population connection” with a population, health, and environment (PHE) model, which combines family planning and public health with conservation efforts.
Thanks to the support of Population Connection, Turimiquire has expanded reproductive health services and family planning availability in remote communities of northeastern Venezuela— supplying family planning resources to over 7,200 people during the first half of 2022 alone . With a high unmet need for family planning, Turimiquire’s outreach to rural communities is vital to ensuring a more sustainable future. [[link removed]]
