Dear John,
Yesterday, all across the United States, Iranian Americans and our pro-peace allies took to the streets with one resounding message: No War With Iran.

But as we marched the streets from Seattle to Dallas to New York, Donald Trump unleashed another barrage of vitriolic tweets threatening to bomb 52 Iranian sites, including sites of cultural significance.
Trump is threatening to wage war against the very fabric of our heritage and is now openly threatening war crimes on Iranian cultural sites.

Iranian Americans - and all Americans - must unite to stop this man. If there is one thing that has always united people of Iranian heritage and served as our community's greatest ambassador to fellow Americans, it is our culture. We quote Hafez in casual conversation, point proudly to our framed pictures of Persepolis, and reminisce about the nighttime walks across Si-o-se-pol - and that is now, rhetorically if not literally, in Trump's cross hairs.

NIAC Action is working urgently along with our pro-peace allies to press lawmakers to advance legislation to halt Trump's march to war. We are urging for the House to immediately pass standalone legislation preventing war and are preparing for a tough battle in the Senate where Republican leadership unfortunately continues to blindly back Trump.
We are also working to protect the civil liberties of Iranian Americans and residents in the United States that we fear could be put in jeopardy. We are contacting mayors, police departments, and municipalities to ensure that our community is not profiled and protected from acts of hate or infringements against us.
Additionally, we are hearing credible reports of detentions at U.S. borders , both of Iranian Americans and permanent residents. We are working to independently verify, coordinating with lawmakers and allies. If you have information please share it directly with us at

📋 Send a message to Congress today [[link removed]] urging them to block war with Iran. Already, we have generated over 50,000 messages to Congress against war - and it's working. Even lawmakers who we have at times been at odds with are coming out strong promising to prevent war. If you have already signed our alert to Congress, share it on social media and encourage at least ten of your friends to sign as well.
