Well, the midterm vote counting is finally almost over, and a few things are really clear right now. Democrats defended the Senate and gained governor seats, but lost the House due to Republican gerrymandering.

We won big by energizing people around noble ideals like human rights and democracy. Anti-American MAGA cons hijacked the house by using the system to suppress democracy. By making it harder for certain people and carving up districts to silence voters, they were able to eke out a narrow majority. 

Keeping the Senate and picking up governor seats is big. It’s clear that all of our hard work to get out the vote paid off.  Unfortunately, our hard work didn’t pay off in the House where Republican dirty work stacked the deck in their favor.

With Trump loyalists seizing the House, expect the next two years to be a return to the same type of obstructionist gridlock that Republicans forced onto Obama’s presidency.

If there’s one thing Republican lawmakers are good at, it’s not doing anything to help the American people.

There’s little doubt that a Trumpist House will move quickly to squash the Jan 6th Committee. And they are already plotting sham investigations.

Fortunately, we defended the Senate and have a very real opportunity to expand control in Georgia. So the GOP’s ability to do nothing good will be limited to the House.

Georgia's special election means this cycle isn’t quite over, so we need to fight like Hell to make sure the situation in Congress doesn’t get worse.

We can’t sit this one out. Letting Rev. Warnock lose his Senate seat to Herschel “the walking embarrassment” Walker is not an option.
