Dear Comrade,
We’re so thankful to all 40 or so folks who came to show solidarity with White Pond today, despite the frigid temps. For those unaware, the city installed brand-new “No trespassing” signs sometime between Friday and Saturday. It seems they don’t even want neighborhood dog walkers on natural public lands while they prepare for this sale. On Monday 11/21, if you are available, please be present at the 1 p.m. Planning Committee meeting. Simply being there and showing that we have numbers is important. You can also show up to the City Council meeting at 7 p.m. to Both meetings will be held at 166 S. High Street. Register here (by 4 p.m. Monday) to speak over Zoom.
Our survey to help plan the Abolition Everywhere campaign is now live! Please take just a few minutes of your time to give us your feedback here. Anyone is eligible to the survey, and feel free to share with friends and family, including on social media. Please get your response in before Dec. 3.
On a lighter note, we are once again having a Winter Labor Solidarity blast on Dec. 17, from 2:30-6p downtown near Lock 3. Sign up here to join us for winter fun including visiting Archie the Snowman, renting ice skates, ice bikes and/or ice bumper cars, putt-putt golf, and shuffleboard.
In Solidarity,
Akron DSA
