John, I want to take a moment to celebrate all the historic firsts from this year’s election!

✨ Oregon and Massachusetts elected Tina Kotek and Maura Healey to be the nation’s first openly lesbian Governors!

✨ We have our first member of Gen Z in Congress! Florida’s 10th district elected Democrat Maxwell Frost, just 25 years old, to be their next Congressman.

✨ Karen Bass will be the first woman and first woman of color to serve as the Mayor of Los Angeles.

✨ Kathy Hochul has become the first elected female Governor of New York!

✨ Colorado, Illinois, and Oregon elected their first ever Latinas to Congress, with Democrats Yadira Caraveo, Delia Ramirez, and Andrea Salinas all winning their races!

✨ Summer Lee will be the first Black woman elected to Congress from Pennsylvania!

✨ Becca Balint will be the first woman ever elected to Congress from Vermont!

There were so many more victories around the country, but these are just a few of my favorites.
