John, Americans voted for our progressive agenda. Now, we have the most progressive Democratic caucus in decades.
John, there’s no doubt about it — 2022’s midterm elections were BIG for progressives.
Though pundits doubted the power of our progressive movement — and our ability to win competitive races — we proved them wrong, electing more progressives to the House than ever before.
John, here’s how we did it:
- The most progressive generation — young voters — showed up to the polls this year, with the second highest turnout among voters between 18-29 in 30 years!
- Our team knocked thousands of doors, called 90,000 voters, and traveled the country sharing our progressive message — even going to purple and red districts.
- Even with dark money groups spending MILLIONS against progressive candidates this cycle, our candidates overcame this spending with the help of grassroots donors.
- Countless hours of hard work by activists and organizers — many young people, people of color, and women — laid the groundwork that held off the so-called ‘red wave’ that never happened.
Progressives across the country emerged victorious in elections across federal, state and local levels. We should all celebrate AND recommit to our fight for a progressive future.
With this mandate in mind, we need to use the power of the Presidency, the Senate and House progressives to deliver for working people who got us here. John, will you help me continue building our progressive power with a contribution today?
