Henry Cuellar is once again bending to Donald Trump.

He called Trump's decision to launch an unauthorized air strike in the Middle East "a necessary step in combating the threat of Iran."

That's right: unlike his Democratic colleagues, my opponent Henry Cuellar has no problem sitting back while the President commits acts of war against Iran without Congressional oversight or approval.

That's unacceptable.

We need new leadership that will hold Trump and his administration accountable. That's why I'm asking for your help to win this race.

Honestly, Henry Cuellar's response shouldn't surprise us.

Over the course of his career, he's taken hundreds of thousands of dollars from the defense industry, including contractors like Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon, and BAE Systems.

I want to be clear: There's no question Suleimani was a bad actor, but our actions have consequences. Before Trump forces us into yet another endless war in the Middle East, Congress and the American people deserve to know what we're getting into.

We need leaders who will promote diplomatic strategies and do everything in their power to prevent another senseless war.

Instead, Henry Cuellar is picking corporate and Republican special interests over his constituents and proving once again he's Trump's favorite Democrat.

We can and must defeat him -- together. Let's go:

With your help, we'll send him packing.
