Politico reports "White House's hopes for a lame-duck debt ceiling deal are fading fast…Manchin has expressed reluctance to act on the debt limit…"

Republican extremists like Marjorie Taylor Greene will use the threat of an unprecedented, debt-ceiling caused economic crisis in 2023 to force an ultimatum on Dems: "Slash social security and Medicare benefits or lose millions of jobs in a catastrophic recession."
