One of the joys of getting to run for office is being in a new community for the first time and visiting all of the locals' favorite stops. I love stopping by diners and coffee shops, meeting small-business owners and their employees, and grabbing a coffee for the road.

It's at these stops where you hear what's really going on in our country. You learn how folks are feeling and hear about their concerns for our future.
