 Friends, I want to thank you for all your hard work. I'm truly honored and humbled to be your voice in Congress. You are the reason why I'm here -- and I'll never forget that. I was raised to believe that you’re supposed to love your neighbor. My pastor preached that every Sunday. I don’t know where we went wrong, but your support makes me optimistic that we can restore America as a beacon of hope and opportunity for all who call this land home. From fighting to treat immigrants and migrant children with dignity to passing a bill to increase the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour, you've helped me take on some of the worst aspects of this administration's agenda and fight for working people. I will continue to stand up to those who want to divide us, but I can't do it alone. Unlike some other elected officials, I refuse to accept any corporate PAC donations. Having open, civil, substantive conversations on any issue people want to discuss, from the opioid crisis to climate change or our economy, will always be a top priority. Some folks ask me where I get the energy to fight every day for working folks in Congress, to talk with voters all across the district, and to find quality family time with my wife and two kids.
