A PERSONAL NOTE

Sometimes it's fun to see inside each other's homes, so I thought you might like a little glimpse of mine.

My home is furnished with thrift store and secondhand finds and bursting with memories. From pictures of my kids to gifts from friends to photos I took when traveling the world to things I inherited from my dad, everywhere I look, there's something that reminds me of people and times that I've loved.

Take that little desk beside Thor, for example. That was a piece my dad had bought for his own mother. The chair behind it, my daughter rescued from the trash. The photos above the desk were taken in Greece, and the glimpse of a painting above that was a present from a friend back in Mexico.

That big cabinet is filled with more books and excellent Mexican tequila, and I giggle every time I think about my daughter, me, and the dude who delivered it struggling to get it in this apartment. Good grief, I don't look forward to moving that big heavy Mary.

On the other side of the room are more books and crafty works in progress. That chair is beautiful but horribly uncomfortable. One of my best friends calls it the Giant Hippie Monstrosity. The old typewriter is one of several I purchased at a revenge yard sale back in California. (I didn't realize that was the purpose til the things were already loaded.) The woman had discovered her husband was in Vegas with another woman so she was selling his stuff off for pennies. Scandalous!

The plant behind the chair is named Keith Richards, because no matter what I do to it, that plant still continues to live.

I'll never get an award for being the world's best housekeeper, but it's lovely to be surrounded by the things that bring you happiness and good memories.

WHAT I'M READING, WATCHING, AND LISTENING TO
Another week, another news cycle. One of the most disturbing things was that despite claims Russia was not responsible for the blast that killed some civilians in Poland, world leaders like Biden say it's their fault indirectly and want to punish them.  Anyway, here are some of the things I've been reading, watching, and listening to this past week.

Tonight, the Survival Preppers will be talking about corporate control and the "trusted" media in their live stream titled Corruption and the Big Money Machine. This is going to be a good one and if I was a betting person I'd say there'll be a heated rant or three. Join me in the comments section tonight at 7pm Eastern. Go here to set your reminder.

A NOTE ABOUT BLACK FRIDAY/CYBER MONDAY
Dear Friends:

Black Friday and Cyber Monday this year will be the weekend we help each other!

First, we will NOT be doing any "early bird" sales before Friday, nor will we be interrupting your Thanksgiving turkey coma with sales emails. We believe in the importance of family and we'll be spending that day with our own loved ones. We hope you'll be doing the same.

Secondly, we will be marking things down to rock-bottom SuperSale level prices. We'll also be offering a few new products too! Please take this opportunity to give the gift of preparedness, either to yourself or the people you love.

Finally, we'll be posting a link to Amazon on the website. That is an affiliate link. If you use it, we'll make a very small percentage from your purchase but it won't cost you a penny extra. That's another way you can help keep The OP going, despite censorship, demonetization, and all the ongoing efforts to silence us.

Thank you so much for being our community. Although we can't set up our own little prepper utopia, it's really nice that we can have a virtual one online, isn't it?

Happy Thanksgiving!
