The last thing Americans need right now is more climate deniers in the halls of power.

But the GOP’s current stars, former president Donald Trump and Georgia Senate candidate Herschel Walker, are some of the worst.

Just last week, Walker inexplicably announced that he wants to "keep having those gas-guzzling cars" that produce "good emissions."

Then, Trump kicked off his 2024 presidential campaign by blaming the nonexistent Green New Deal for “destroying our country” and lying that ocean levels will rise only an eighth of an inch by 2300.

(The reality is that sea levels will rise 10-12 inches by 2050 – pretty short-sighted for someone who lives in a beachfront resort in Florida.)

Listen, folks, they don’t call me the “biggest nerd in Congress” for nothing. I’ve been – and will continue to be – a dedicated advocate for clean energy, good climate science, and evidence-based environmental policy.
