“8 Myths About Social Security”

Dear John,

Thank you for giving the National Committee your email address and for all you do to support our critical work to protect and strengthen Social Security and Medicare!

As a small token of my appreciation, I’m pleased to send you a FREE digital copy of "8 Myths About Social Security," a brochure we created to help counter the claims, predictions and grossly misleading statements about Social Security floating around these days. I hope you enjoy this informative and quick read!

Right now, the National Committee is fighting to stave off growing attacks on your earned benefits. GOP politicians are ramping up their calls for slashing benefits, raising the retirement age of Social Security, passing more out-of-pocket health care costs onto seniors and privatizing Medicare which would benefit huge insurance companies.

These dangerous proposals are being supported by those in Washington, DC and on Wall Street who promote lies about Social Security and want to reduce our government’s obligations to America’s workers and retirees.

You and millions of other working Americans and retirees have a personal stake in the outcome of this debate. Bottom line, Congress will listen when large numbers of people stay informed and get involved to make a difference.

That’s why I’m grateful for your continued support and generosity which has helped us win important legislative victories on behalf of workers and retirees like you. And I look forward to working with you in the weeks ahead as we face what I believe will be unprecedented threats to seniors’ earned benefits.

Sincerely,

Max Richtman
President & CEO
