Republicans have officially taken back the House — nominating Kevin McCarthy as Speaker.

McCarthy even reportedly renewed his promise to kick Ilhan off the Foreign Affairs Committee behind closed doors — attempting to roll back her work to champion human rights at home and around the world.

It’s clear that McCarthy and Republicans will use their power to try to silence Ilhan and strong progressives and reverse our movement’s progress. Ilhan is ready to stand up against them every step of the way.
