Austin and San Antonio Area Events
● 5th Annual Turkey Trot 5K Fun Run at South Llano River on Nov. 24. The park is home to a Rio Grande turkey roost, so we found it fitting that we have a Turkey Trot!
● "T" is for Turkey at Colorado Bend on Nov. 24. Paint a turkey or other favorite bird. All supplies will be provided. Fun for all ages!
● A Lost Pines CCC Christmas at Bastrop on Dec. 17. Tour the inside of the historic Refectory and see how the Civilian Conservation Corps celebrated Christmas away from home!
● Holidays for the Birds at Lockhart on Dec. 21. Join the elves in Santa’s workshop and make bird feeders for our feathered friends!

● Turkey Trot - Aztec Caves at Franklin Mountains on Nov. 25. Enjoy a moderate, 1.5-mile hike ending at the Aztec Caves.
● Fa La La in the Forest at Abilene on Dec. 10. Campers will adorn their campsites, screened shelters, and yurts with lights and decorations.
