Team,
Since Tammy was first elected to the Senate in 2013, she has been a vocal champion for LGBTQ rights.
She didn’t just make history as the first openly LGBTQ senator — she has worked tirelessly to make it easier for other LGBTQ candidates to be themselves, run for office, and win. In fact, in 2022, there were LGBTQ candidates on the ballot in all 50 states!
Her work to level the playing field and achieve equality is persistent — and we’re seeing how hard she’s working to pass the Respect for Marriage Act in the Senate.
After Roe v. Wade was overturned by the conservative Supreme Court, Tammy recognized that marriage equality could be next, which is why she sprang into action to rally support for federal protections for same-sex and interracial marriage.
The Respect for Marriage Act passed two important procedural votes in the Senate this week and will hopefully go up to a final vote soon.
To make sure Tammy can keep up the work to protect and expand rights for the LGBTQ community, please chip in a few dollars to her campaign. We need champions like her in the Senate.

Thank you for your support of Tammy and her important work. We’ve made so much progress in the fight for equality, but there is still a LOT more to be done.
