Go "Wild About Reading" with SDZWA and Warwick's!

Just in time for the holidays, San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance Press
and Warwick's are presenting a Children's Holiday Book Fair: Wild
About Reading! From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, this
special event will celebrate the debut of SDZWA Press' newest
children's books, Sloth's Treehouse Inn by Carrie Hasler, and Raising
Don: The True Story of a Spunky Baby Tapir by Georgeanne Irvine. The
authors will discuss and sign their new books, and all SDZWA Press'
children's titles will be available for purchase and signing.

This is the perfect chance to stock up for gift giving: buy two books,
and get one free! The fair will also feature San Diego Zoo wildlife
ambassador presentations, Dr. Zoolittle shows, giveaways for youths,
and more. Taking place in the courtyard of the Merrill Lynch building
at 7825 Fay Avenue, La Jolla, CA 92037 (just behind Warwick's), the
Children's Holiday Book Fair: Wild About Reading is a ticketed
event-the $30 ticket price includes family admission and three
books: Sloths Treehouse Inn, Raising Don: The True Story of a Spunky
Baby Tapir, and your choice of a third title!

For more information and to purchase your ticket, visit Warwick's.

San Diego Zoo Safari Park

Majestic Musi

Vus'musi, the first-born calf of African elephant Ndula at
the Safari Park, has rejoined the herd; and "Musi," as he is called,
is playing an important role. Not only will he-an adult male
elephant-be a mentor to young Zuli; he will also participate in
the Species Survival Plan for his kind. This collaborative program
recommends pairings for genetic diversity, as we work with partners to
secure the future of this endangered species. Vus'musi means "to build
a family" in Siswati, and that's what he is helping to
do-instill hope for the future.
