While PFC Kim, SgtMaj Cottle and LCpl Centanni left us too soon, their lives were not lived in vain, and they live on through their loved ones, others they inspired to serve and all those who share their stories. I am thrilled that my effort to preserve their stories for future generations passed through the Oversight Committee this week. Learn More. As breakthroughs in quantum computing emerge, we must ensure that American industries keep up and can access the technologies they need to create innovative and next-generation materials. The Quantum in Practice Act I helped introduce would expand opportunities for Main Street and our scientific community to use cutting-edge technologies in pursuit of safer medicines, improved energy storage, better protective gear, stronger conductors and more tools that will be vital to our future economy and national security. Learn More. U.S. energy independence is critical to create jobs, lower costs of fuel and utilities, strengthen our domestic resources and ensure we do not have to rely on adversaries to fuel our country. We must improve our energy pipelines to keep our communities running. I'm co-leading the Next Generation Pipelines Research and Development Act to improve energy infrastructure, boost American innovation and secure our supply chains. I’ll keep fighting for U.S. energy independence. Learn More. I had an amazing time celebrating Veterans Day at the Salute to Service Veterans Ceremony in Chino Hills. The United States is the land of the free, because of the brave. Team Young joined the 34th Annual Placentia Veterans Day Observance Ceremony to recognize new names added to our veterans monument and pay tribute to our nation's heroes. As Councilman Craig Green said, the "sweetness of enduring peace comes from the bitterness of personal sacrifice." Great to see so many familiar faces in Anaheim Hills as we support the dedicated service and sacrifice of our military veterans. Words are never enough to express our gratitude. I will ALWAYS have the backs of our veterans who had ours. Team Young was happy to join Fullerton College to celebrate the launch of the Hornet Drone Piloting Apprenticeship Program. We're looking forward to the first apprenticeship cohort expected in January, which will complete a state and federally-registered program. Go Hornets! Congratulations to Edie Israel, Yorba Linda's Citizen of the Year! Edie is a role model not only for her professional success but also for her heart to give back. She is key to local events like Love Yorba Linda and a champion of children's education. We're lucky to have her! Great to join Capitol Hill Diwali in celebration of the Festival of Lights. I was honored to light the Diya representing the triumph of good over evil. Inspiring Community Prayer Breakfast with the Placentia Round Table Women’s Club and Rotary Club of Placentia. Nelson Cook of the COIN Ministry Team discussed the power of influence and the importance of coaches and mentors in spreading both faith and positivity. I’m proud that Team Young has returned $17 million+ back to CA-39 taxpayers and helped 3,500+ constituents receive assistance from federal agencies like the IRS, SBA and the VA. If you need help with a federal agency, please reach out to my office. We’re here to serve you always. Submit a Casework Request. Find a Full List of COVID-19 Resources. Catch Up on Past Newsletters.
