Since you elected me the next U.S. Representative of NM-02, I had the honor of spending the past week in Washington, D.C. getting oriented and ready to serve in Congress.

I joined a group of bipartisan freshman lawmakers from across the country to learn about setting up a congressional office and serving the people of New Mexico on Day 1.

I also met with longstanding Democratic members, including House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer here at the Library of Congress.

Wednesday night, I had the opportunity to join Lawrence O'Donnell on The Last Word to discuss our campaign, the importance of the Latino vote, and what I'll be working on in Congress.

Between now and January, I’m going to be hard at work getting our office ready and building a team to best serve you, leaving little time for fundraising. Will you help our campaign rebuild our resources while I get settled in Washington by pitching in $10 or more today?
