Registration now open for 32nd Annual
Kitsap County Conference for Human Rights 

Join the Kitsap County Council for Human Rights for the 32nd Annual Conference for Human Rights that takes place virtually from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, December 10.

The conference is free but pre-registration is required. Go to http://kcowa.us/hrc to view the conference schedule and register. 

This year's event centers around "THIS is HOME: Our Bodies, Our Communities, Our Planet," and looks at these topics from a human rights perspective, how they intersect and impact each other. The conference will feature a roundtable discussion and multiple break-out sessions including:

  • our human right to a livable world 
  • community building to end homelessness
  • disrupting racism, restoring connection
  • gender-affirming language 101
  • youth mental health panel
  • from collective rupture to collective repair
  • empathic listening
  • gender-based stereotypes
  • breaking down the myths of homelessness
  • an indigenous call for kinship
  • racism: a public health crisis
  • And much more!

The annual Linda Gabriel Awards will be announced during the conference, recognizing youth, individuals and organizations in Kitsap County who have made significant contributions to human rights.
