Nonfarm jobs nationally were up 261,000, posting the fourth month in a row above of the pre-pandemic peak in February 2020.
The seasonally adjusted numbers for California showed gains in all but 4 industries, with the increases led by Health Care & Social Assistance (19,500), Administrative & Support & Waste Services (10,000), and Accommodation & Food Services (8,500). Losses were led by Government (-8,700), Retail Trade (-4,200), and Educational Services (-2,700).
