My work in TX-31 and Congress   Dear Texan, After a busy week, I wanted to take this opportunity to update you on what’s happening in the U.S. House and Texas’ 31st district. ON THE DOCKET: Updates from General Rainey Meeting with Trideum Catching up with Lt. Gen. Banta THE BRIEF: With inflation remaining at a 40-year high, families will pay more for just about everything this Thanksgiving. Republicans have secured a majority in the House of Representatives when the 118th U.S. Congress convenes in January. In October, there were 230,678 illegal immigrant encounters at our southern border. Congressman Carter receives updates from General Rainey about upcoming Army projects and initiatives. UPDATES FROM GENERAL RAINEY I met with General James Rainey and his team to discuss Army Futures Command and upcoming Army initiatives. With Army Futures Command being based in Central Texas and as a sitting member on the House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee, I am passionate about military innovation and ensuring our troops have the resources necessary to defend our great nation! Congressman Carter and Ranking Member Granger meet with Trideum. MEETING WITH TRIDEUM Appropriations Committee Ranking Member Kay Granger and I met with Trideum to discuss their cybersecurity, modeling and simulation technology, and unmanned systems. Trideum has partnered with the Department of Defense on multiple projects to aid in strengthening our national security. Are you and your family feeling the impacts of inflation this Thanksgiving?
