Wishing You and Your Family a Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving

In Central Washington, we have so much to be thankful for. This Thanksgiving, as we come together with our friends and family, don’t forget to take a moment to give thanks to the hard-working men and women throughout Central Washington who work to provide the food on our plates.

I am extremely grateful to live in and represent Central Washington and be your voice in Congress each day. From my family to yours, I wish you a happy and healthy Thanksgiving

Proud to Be the Voice for Rural America

It is an honor to be elected to serve another term as Chairman for the Western Caucus, and I look forward to continuing to advocate for our rural communities in Central Washington and across the United States in the next Congress.

Our priorities are holding the Biden Administration accountable, reversing misguided anti-energy policies, and promoting energy and agriculture production to ensure our communities can thrive.

Our work is just getting started, and I am excited to be the voice for rural America in Congress.

Supporting Our Tribal Communities

This week, I met with members of the Chehalis Tribe to talk about my legislation, the Parity for Tribal Law Enforcement Act. This bill will improve hiring and increase retention for tribal law enforcement officers in order to better protect native communities and help address the crisis of missing and murdered indigenous women and girls (MMIW).

It is an honor to represent several Native American tribes in Central Washington and I will always be a voice for them.

Inflation is Gobbling Up Thanksgiving Dinner This Year

Due to skyrocketing inflation, Thanksgiving dinner will cost American families 20% more this year. To make matters worse, Washington state is ranked in the top 10 most expensive states to buy a turkey.

Supply chain issues and a lack of adequate farm labor have caused food prices to soar. Families should be enjoying time with their loved ones rather than dealing with financial stress caused by President Biden and House Democrats' inflationary policies. Come next Congress, I am committed to putting an end to House Democrats' inflationary policies and providing relief to Central Washington.

Central Washington Has (Already) Spoken: Grizzly Bears Are a Threat

For decades, Central Washingtonians have had to fight to make our voices heard over the noise of outside interest groups and government bureaucrats who think they know what is best for our communities. Unfortunately, last week's decision by the National Park Service and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to reopen discussions on introducing grizzly b...
