Welcome back to the Republican Rundown--your weekly email highlighting the important work that the Republican Party of Virginia is doing to ensure we elect Republicans across the Commonwealth.

This week, we went to Stafford and we’re greeted with an incredible crowd and a lot of enthusiasm. We heard from a variety of local candidates who intend to run in Stafford next year, and Chair Tony de Toro did a great job conducting the meeting’s business. A special thank you to Tony, and the countless individuals who worked so hard in Stafford this election cycle.

This election, we had tremendous success at the local level throughout the Commonwealth. Over 100 Republicans running for City Council, Schoolboard, and Constitutional Offices WON and FLIPPED seats! We would like to highlight several notable victories:

Flipped Lynchburg City Council for the FIRST time since 1999: (Stephanie Reed, Larry Taylor, Marty Misjuns)

Flipped the Virginia Beach Schoolboard: (Carolyn Weems, Kathleen Brown, David Culpepper, Mike Callan)

Flipped Radford City Council & Schoolboard: (City Council - Seth Gillespie, Kellie Artrip, Bobby Davis; Schoolboard - Gloria Boyd & Chris Calfee)

Top Vote Getters: Theresa Coates Ellis (Manassas - City Council); Jake Holmes (Bristol - City Council); Hunter Holliday III (Salem - City Council)
