Election night was HUGE for climate champions down ballot!!

From Pennsylvania to California to Texas, and states in between, one thing was clear: fighting for the climate is top of mind for voters. Running on a platform that prioritizes a Green New Deal is a popular — and good — policy.

Together, we were able to elect 21 Green New Deal candidates at the state and local levels! There are still a few races being called, but we are so proud of our entire slate for the campaigns they ran and we can’t wait to see what bold climate action they’ll push for in office. Now, we start the work of supporting our candidates as they assume public office and holding them accountable to pass climate legislation and your continued support is crucial.

There is so much more work to do. As we look toward the future, we will double down on our efforts to invest in grassroots organizing and campaigning at the state and local levels to ensure our movement for a Green New Deal continues to grow on all levels. There are a number of key state and local elections happening in 2023, so we need to get to work right now.
