But ads are expensive and they require a sustained investment, especially here in Texas where there are 20 media markets to compete in. That’s why we’re launching our ambitious Texas Airwaves Fund and asking you to be a Founding Donor.

If we want MJ to defeat a 18-year, special interest-funded incumbent, we need to tell people who MJ is: a working mom, combat veteran, and Texas tough Democrat. And we have to be able to compete with Senator Cornyn’s nearly $11 million (which will buy a LOT of air time!). He’s already aired the first TV ads of this campaign, and a dark money group that supports him has spent $2 million dollars on ads in Texas.

Raising the funds we need won’t be easy, which is why we’re reaching out to our top supporters. Even if you can only give $5, it’ll be a big help.
