The climate crisis and environmental injustices are urgent, intertwined imperatives that impact every facet of our economy and infrastructure. Transformational change isn’t optional; it’s essential to meeting that 2030 deadline.
California Environmental Voters Education Fund knows this and has been effecting change up and down the state this year to tackle the climate crisis and create a more just and vibrant future:
EnviroVoters Ed Fund worked with policy experts and scientists to compile a 2022 Policy Roadmap for California’s climate resilient future, and used that to create a New Legislator Guide for first-year legislators. The historic number of meaningful climate bills introduced and passed in the State Legislature this year can be attributed to the Ed Fund’s preemptive education and outreach!
The Ed Fund launched an Ambassadors Program, which identifies, cultivates, and supports youth from marginalized communities in the Central Valley and Inland Empire to foster leadership skills, activate their peers on environmental action, and increase community engagement through organizing within their region.
They also pushed for a stronger California Air Resources Board (CARB) Scoping Plan to reduce the state’s overall greenhouse gas emissions, and played a key role in California’s redistricting process, drawing district lines to ensure the environment was prioritized.
We’re in the midst of a turning point in our history, and California Environmental Voters Education Fund is meeting the urgency of this moment.
Please, this Giving Tuesday, consider making a contribution to the Ed Fund’s efforts to create transformation change to solve the climate crisis and advance large-scale equity at the same time.
100% of your tax-deductible gift will be used to advance their comprehensive climate strategy by educating policymakers on the urgent need for strong climate action and building and organizing regional power in communities to center justice and create long-term transformation.
Together, we can change what’s possible, friend. Thanks for being part of this community.
