It’s an anti-immigrant playbook that goes right to the heart of our domestic worker movement: more than half of nannies, housecleaners, and care workers are immigrant women who know exactly what it’s like to be targeted because of where you were born.

But incredibly: for every bus, every plane, beautiful community-led teams have sprung into action to show what a true American welcome filled with dignity and compassion looks like.

Families shouldn't be used as a political ploy. Most of the immigrants being used in these political stunts are fleeing unimaginable violence, and they need and deserve a safe welcome into their new community.

So the Choose Welcome movement is here to say that every bus will be met with welcome, every time. Each time a cynical politician tries to make a headline for himself by scapegoating immigrants, we’re going to show up to choose welcome.
