Monday, Rep. Young Kim (CA-40) congratulated Lori Chavez-DeRemer on her impressive flip in Oregon's Fifth Congressional District, winning a crucial seat for the GOP. Lori is the first Hispanic woman elected to Congress from Oregon. Congratulations, Lori!

Tuesday, Rep. Michelle Steel (CA-45) defeated Democrat Jay Chen in a highly competitive race. Steel made history in 2020 as one of the first three Korean American women elected to Congress. Click here to learn more.

Those who have served loyally by her side for nearly two decades — Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and Whip Jim Clyburn — have said they are ready to step aside to allow for the new guard to ascend to power. That's given way to the rise of Reps. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.), Katherine Clark (D-Mass.) and Pete Aguilar (D-Calif.).

Indiana Daily Student: Republican Erin Houchin wins election to U.S. House for Indiana Congressional District 9. Republican Erin Houchin has been elected as U.S. House Representative for Indiana Congressional District 9. Houchin won 64.6% of the vote, and the race was called by the Associated Press with 73.06% of the votes counted. 

The Ledger: Election Day 2022: Laurel Lee wins new Congressional District 15, incumbents sweep in Polk. Former Secretary of State Laurel Lee, R–New Tampa, will become the first representative of Florida's newly drawn Congressional District 15. Lee claimed a decisive victory over Democratic candidate Alan Cohn, receiving 58.8% to 41.2% of votes.
