President Biden is asking a lame duck Congress to approve another $37 billion for the war in Ukraine, with $22 billion earmarked for more weapons, military training and intelligence.

Tell your House and Senate reps to vote NO on more money to escalate a war that has no military solution. To date, the US has spent an estimated $20 billion on weapons and military $$$ for drones, rockets and ammunition, with the total tab for the war in Ukraine expected to exceed $100 billion before the new Congress is seated.

What could $100 billion a year buy at home? According to the National Priorities Project trade-off calculator, that amount would pay for a million elementary school teachers, 300 million households with solar energy and 12 million public housing units.

We need a ceasefire, diplomacy and investments in climate, health care, housing and education, not more weapons for a protracted war that risks nuclear annihilation while filling the coffers of for-profit weapons contractors.
