Dear Friends,
We have just unveiled the list of nominees for the 2022 RSF Prize. Fifteen journalists and media outlets from all over the world have been shortlisted for their outstanding and essential work in support of the freedom to inform. I urge you to discover their exceptional histories by going to our website.
This year, we are celebrating the 30th edition of our prize. Thirty years in which RSF has been honoring the work of those who embody the ideals of journalism, Thirty years in which we have been paying tribute to the journalists who continue to keep us informed despite the dangers, the obstacles and the persecution.
In the digital age, the challenges facing journalism have evolved, but courage, independence and the pursuit of impact remain cardinal virtues. This is why we will be awarding a prize in each of these categories in Paris on 12 December.
During this anniversary ceremony, at which we will have the honour of hearing a speech by the Russian journalist and Nobel peace laureate Dmitry Muratov, we will also have a special thought for all of you, without whom none of this would have been possible.
Please continue to help us to support these journalists, who make a crucial contribution to keeping us informed every day all over the world.
