Hey John --

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to every single one of you who took the time to share your thoughts on the 2023 election campaign with me last week. 

I’ve spent the last few days reading through over 2800 responses. It’s been a great reminder of what an asset it is to have so many grassroots supporters who are willing to volunteer their skills and experiences. Thank you!

Reading through it, here’s some feedback that really stood out to me:

The 2020 campaign was people powered, positive, and future focussed. We had hope, drive, and determination and we went out and connected with the community personally.” Jacqui.

Let's celebrate the progress we have made over the last 5 years and what is still to come.  We’ve made such big leaps forward on housing, climate and healthcare. Make sure people know that.” Oliver.

Next year we need positivity, positivity, positivity! Hold the opposition to account but don't lose your kindness, compassion and humour.” Sara.

Three words came up thousands of times in your survey responses: positivity, progress and people. And John, those are the values that will drive our movement and our campaign in 2023.

Over the next few weeks I'll be working on our campaign strategy. I will incorporate all of this amazing feedback and report back to you soon, John.
