Giving Challenge Deadline: MIDNIGHT TONIGHT

The newly released State of the Birds report shows that bird populations in the United States are rapidly declining. And it’s not just one type of bird or only in one part of the country. This alarming trend holds true across nearly every habitat.

Birds are telling us they are in trouble. The only question is: Will you answer their call? Please be one of the 17 bird lovers we’re counting on to join us with a monthly gift before midnight tonight to help unlock $5,000 more for the birds you love. ([link removed])

Birds are at a tipping point

More than half of U.S. bird species are in decline.

389 North American bird species are at increasing risk of climate extinction.

We’ve lost 3 billion birds in the span of a human lifetime.

70 species, including the Rufous Hummingbird, have lost 50% or more of their populations in the past 50 years—and are on track to lose another half or more over the next decades.

Here’s the good news: Audubon’s efforts give birds a better shot at survival. With more than a century of science behind us, we know what it takes to protect birds at risk. And whether we’re restoring and protecting intact forests or working for practical, effective solutions to the climate crisis, we do it all with your help.

So please, be one of 17 supporters we’re counting on to join us with a monthly donation today while, thanks to a group of generous donors, you’ll help unlock $5,000 more for birds and their habitats. ([link removed])

Sincerely,

National Audubon Society
