Russian Forces Pummel Ukraine with Missile Strikes

Russian missiles pounded Ukraine on Thursday, killing four people, as Moscow continued to pursue a campaign of attacks on cities and energy infrastructure after withdrawing its forces from the southern city of Kherson, as the NYT reports.

Biden Pushes Back on Ukraine’s Claim Russia Shot Missile That Struck Poland

President Biden pushed back on claims by Ukraine’s president that the missile that killed two people in Poland this week wasn’t fired from Ukraine, as the WSJ reports.

Climate Negotiators Far From Deal

Climate talks stalled late night Thursday on some major issues going into the final day, but possibilities for a deal were buoyed by an unexpected proposal on two of the thorniest issues by the European Union that involves a fund for compensation for climate disasters, as the AP reports.
